day 34: 마지막날

LAST DAY IN KOREA! T__T

my flight is at 11.30pm so i have the entire day free for any last minute shopping!

went to Insadong for Miss Lee Cafe because i wanted to bring Candice there! So we ordered the traditional lunchbox thingy each and had patbingsu too :) gonna miss the patbingsu sooo much!

after that we braved through the rain and went to the Osulloc tea shop to get my tea! bought a few for mum and dad and also for Sean's. spent like almost 80,000 there o_o

took the subway and headed for edae to do some shopping (albeit the sky was raining cats and dogs) and to meet Gillian!

cos it was raining too heavily we sat inside Baskin Robbins to avoid the crazy weather.

thank god she's singaporean :( i can still see her. otherwise i'm gonna miss her soooo much! like i said hanging out with her , sue and anthea had been the days i laughed THE MOST in korea. thank you girls!

didn't really manage to eat dinner. after that we rushed home and i went to Vans to get my shoes and Sean's too. The shoes i chose all ran out of his size so it was really a hassle trying to pick out the nicer shoes :( Candice went to Artbox to get her singaporean friends presents too so i can pass to them on her behalf.

rushed back to our room, did my last minute packing and then went to the airport bus stop. My bus came and because the ahjusshi was kinda rude and in a hurry to i-dont-know where, my last hugs with Candice and Andrea were so rushed. Hardly got to say a real goodbye.

and then i bawled like a baby on the bus home.

met Yuting, Irene and Marli at the airport. had dinner at Macdonalds and that was it. ;_;

This trip to Korea had been really memorable. Best trip ever :) I got to know more friends in school, learnt amazing things from the locals here. tried their food, immersed in their culture. just so many many things that i experience daily, even the smallest thing like taking the subway, or buying food at the convenience store. I'm gonna remember everything i did here by reading this blog. and i'm glad i got a chance to write down what i did daily. 

Never getting tired of saying this, i'm gonna miss Seoul so much!

day 10: noraebang!

today we did stupid things again lol. this weekend is like.. a emotional roller coaster seriously. i had my fair share of tears and joy. new experience, i guess! i see many people and learn many new things, in a way.

so after wasting our day we went back to Sinchon to meet up with Gillian (i was with Sue and her friends, Cass and Val) so we went to have dinner at this porridge place! It was nice because the weather was too cold outside in the rain so having something warm to eat is really good.

The rain was SO heavy today btw. it kinda scared me a little cos i never thought rain could get this heavy. like the raindrops actually broke a hole in my friend's umbrella and she was totally drenched even under the umbrella :| i was wet too and i accidentally dropped my cardigan on the ground and it has all the mud and water etc stuck on it. SIGH. maybe i might need to get a new umbrella, again. one that wouldn't rust ~_~

in the morning i had 만두라면 (dumplings ramen) at 김밥천국 again it's like my best friend already! no picture because the place was so small and we had to eat quickly.

an balloon thingy i got for free yesterday at one of the mall in jeongbalsan. the clown made one for me i feel like a kid LOL but at least it is free.

pepero for 700won at the vending machine along the track at the station.

my 녹차 (green tea) tasted like rubber :| my friends said it's like the smell of grass in the garden.

then we had baskin robbins in the afternoon YUMMY~

pistachio almond again! 2500won only for one big cone.

expensive porridge okay! 8000won for my bowl of mushroom n minced beef porridge.

after dinner we went to the 노래방!! heheh sang for 3 hours and pais 11,200w per person! so fun and it is clean, free ice cream provided too!!

that glass platform is strong~! 

okay i'm rrally tired now but i can't remember what more i wanna blog about my weekends. which rly isn't a lot ;_;

day 6: 계속 비

yesterday was so hot and today it turned super cold again because of the rain T__T the wind was SO strong! after class while we were outside waiting for the shuttle bus, Melissa's umbrella broke. like the cloth part entirely came off the wire LOL i wanted to take a picture but under the weather conditions then i couldn't even protect myself.

didn't do much today AGAIN. i don't know my classmates seem to be going out everyday, shopping and having fun and i'm just like.... nearby or at home? i haven't even been to myeongdong and dongdaemun. actually i have, i had supper at dongdaemun today?

as usual fell asleep in class! we met our buddy at 12pm and i got a male buddy. his name is Haerang. i don't know if i should call him Haerang oppa? Nvm not important. we talked a bit to arrange the day and time to meet next week and it was so tough -__- his english isn't too good and my korean kinda sucks! i think we should be meeting together with yuting and her gucci unnie LOL. we wanna go petite france together! of course not with the rain. the rain makes me feel like hiding in my dorm all the time.

after class the 3 of us went to Sinchon area and had bibimbap. we wanted stew but in the rain we couldn't find the place where yuting and i had the tofu stew. the bibimbap ahjumma's from china so we spoke a lil chinese to her.

bibimbap for 6000won. i found it a little bit pricey? even kimbap cheonguk's hotstone bibimbap is cheaper. they put the veggie in a huge metal bowl and they give you the rice separately so u pour it in yourself along with the red pepper paste and mix! the ahjumeoni kinda helped me a little hehe.

after that we headed to itaewon in the rain -_-

and had ice cream at Baskin Robbins!

their ice cream cakes are SO PRETTY! i'd buy the tokki one for onew's birthday. HAHAHAHA. any way idon't know why she allowed me to take pics of the entire shop including the tubs of ice cream. and i was taking pics of the ice cream cake too and she saw me. only when i was at the last shot (which is this tokki cake) she said "no picture! please!" in broken kongrish. rude!? ok koreans tend to be more rude than they are gentle/nice. but really..? she was literally screaming at me.

each regular cup is 2,500won!! so cheap! i had pistachio almond, mel had mango and yt had choco caramel.

look, dark skies all the time -__- although i prefer this to the sun, it's rly troublesome to go out in this weather!

Itaewon has all the american/western brands. i saw a really nice pair of adidas sneakers in maroon at 98,000won (sales) and a super qt converse bagpack at 59,000won. I WANT THEM!!!!

then at about 5 we decided we're too tired to walk or do anything so we headed back to subway station and i went off alone to Edae to meet Su and her friends, Cass and Bel (i hope i got their names right T_T) we took a cab into KLI and picked Gillian up. Ok technically we didn't bc we had to get off the 1st cab cuz ahjusshi wants to eat dinner -__- then we went to ddukseom for the recording. we waited for 2hours? and then realize nobody's there. finally someone activated data roaming and checked the fan cafe and realized it's canceled -__-

this is near the Hangang Park! The station name is 뚝섬유원지 (dduk-seom-yu-won-ji) it's kinda far away from our schools (Yonsei/SKK). NVM we left for dongdaemun and had dinner/supper at 김밥천국 (kimbap cheonguk) again!

this was mine! Ra-bbokgi. Ramen with ddokbogi. so friggen spicy.

because it was too late so we took a cab back into school. dropped Gillian off at SK Global House nearby and i came back here alone. It's scary to be alone in a unfamiliar city but i made it back in one piece!

very very tired now. staying in tomorrow for laundry and etc yay! gonna watch my anime and running man.
