day 34: 마지막날

LAST DAY IN KOREA! T__T

my flight is at 11.30pm so i have the entire day free for any last minute shopping!

went to Insadong for Miss Lee Cafe because i wanted to bring Candice there! So we ordered the traditional lunchbox thingy each and had patbingsu too :) gonna miss the patbingsu sooo much!

after that we braved through the rain and went to the Osulloc tea shop to get my tea! bought a few for mum and dad and also for Sean's. spent like almost 80,000 there o_o

took the subway and headed for edae to do some shopping (albeit the sky was raining cats and dogs) and to meet Gillian!

cos it was raining too heavily we sat inside Baskin Robbins to avoid the crazy weather.

thank god she's singaporean :( i can still see her. otherwise i'm gonna miss her soooo much! like i said hanging out with her , sue and anthea had been the days i laughed THE MOST in korea. thank you girls!

didn't really manage to eat dinner. after that we rushed home and i went to Vans to get my shoes and Sean's too. The shoes i chose all ran out of his size so it was really a hassle trying to pick out the nicer shoes :( Candice went to Artbox to get her singaporean friends presents too so i can pass to them on her behalf.

rushed back to our room, did my last minute packing and then went to the airport bus stop. My bus came and because the ahjusshi was kinda rude and in a hurry to i-dont-know where, my last hugs with Candice and Andrea were so rushed. Hardly got to say a real goodbye.

and then i bawled like a baby on the bus home.

met Yuting, Irene and Marli at the airport. had dinner at Macdonalds and that was it. ;_;

This trip to Korea had been really memorable. Best trip ever :) I got to know more friends in school, learnt amazing things from the locals here. tried their food, immersed in their culture. just so many many things that i experience daily, even the smallest thing like taking the subway, or buying food at the convenience store. I'm gonna remember everything i did here by reading this blog. and i'm glad i got a chance to write down what i did daily. 

Never getting tired of saying this, i'm gonna miss Seoul so much!

day 23: 막방 ㅠㅠㅠ

met sue and gillian and headed to our favorite/most hanged out location: jeongbalsan!

오늘 애들이 다 많이 잘했어요.. 막방이라서 슬픈데.. 내가 싱가포르 돌아가서 애들이 못봐것샅은데.. 팬미팅에 애들이 진짜 귀엽네... 팬들한테도 진철해... 보고싶어... 보고싶지만... 지금 아무것도 못해요... 다음 컴배그 내가 이렇게 응원할수없어서... 정말미안해... 하지만... 우리 마음이 통하잖아... 다른 나라에 있지만... 내가 한상 응원을 해줄게... 진영, 바로, 찬이, 산들, 신우야....그동안 잘했어... 사랑해 애들아

할머니 칼국수 (granny noodles) for lunch! 4500won per bowl and it was SOOO good i finished everything :D

the snacks at daiso is much cheaper! besides the almond pepero (2 for 1500) the rest were all 2 for 1000won. i'mgoing to buy in bulk when i'm flying back!

after that we went to the "welcome noraebang" at edae! and sang for bout 3 hours. hahaha did 못된것만배워서 acapella T_T

day 21: cooking day

my period came today T__T and it is hurting like a bitch! those pills are not working at all boo hoo.

quickly came back to the dorm to rest for a while before rushing back to KLI for our cooking (elective class) class at 2pm. we cooked..... chicken. hahahah i forgot the name in korean T_T so we basically didn't cook it. we justcut the vegetables, pan fry the chicken and made the sauce.

our teacher is so pretty!!!! she is going to Singapore in August and asked us for recommendations. her job is smthg like creating new menus for restaurants so she is gg back to check on this restaurant which she create the menu for. i told her to go to Garden Slug in the east for the food hahahah

after that we just went to Sinchon to get yuting her medicine. then i recharged my prepaid card value! so now i can call and text in peace. then we walked around edae and i bought a tee shirt for 5000 and a pair of specs for 10,000!

because of my period everything is not so enjoyable right now T__T

day 12: i look like a poodle

so after class we came back to the dorm and had lunch at the canteen again! i had ddeokbogi and kimbab! after that we headed to edae to search for Hair Messe to... do our hair. i was gonna perm it and yuting to dye her hair.

so we manage to find it easily thanks to the directions i found online on their naver blog! then we stepped in and that.. ammonium (?) smell was super strong hahaha. then we asked bout the price and all, they were reasonable so we spent a good 2-3hours there! the service is not bad :D they serve u free drink, let u read magazines, put a cushion on your lap. u wear like a robe thingy too so whatever they do to your hair u know they won't get to your clothes :) and several ppl attend to you at different times!

so i kinda permed it for 60,000won, and yuting dyed her hair reddish brown for 30,000won! so cheap please! they have all the good perming equipments here in korea. i bet i won't find anyone who can do this for me at 60bucks in singapore. the unnie is so nice, she gave us each a free bottle of hair essence!

LOL i look so stupid i know. the bangs is super thick and the curls.. okay now they're still very bouncy and volumous! we shopped a bit at edae and i bought some stuff!

she tried the 순대 (soon-dae; pig's inner parts) i tried one piece and i felt like puking OMG. the entire bowl cost 2500won at one of the road side stall! the ahjumma was so nice to her lol, gave her 2 free ddeokboggi. like.. just 2 ddeok. hhhahaha

we had this chicken kebab thingy! IT IS SO DAMN NICE OMG! 2000won for a stick, with 5 pieces of chicken and cabbage/spring onion in between. IT IS SO GOOOOOOD.

some pictures i took at edae. edae is really nice! for shopping etc. although i know dongdaemun/myeongdong would be a lot better. but edae is good enough too!!!

i had cafe mocha at caffe bene! idk why for some strange reasons, the coffee here doesn't make me feel nauseous or give me headache! and it is so nice because it doesn't leave the aftertaste in my mouth unlike when i drink starbucks i get those symptoms :( and the cafes here are SO NICE. i haven't been to hongdae, can't wait to see all the pretty cafes! this caffe bene is the one at Sinchon. We walked from edae to sinchon it's like... a junction away only lol.

something interesting happened when i bought this bag. LOL the korean guy said smthg to us very quickly and i couldn't get it (he asked me if i want a plastic bag) so i replied "뭐?" and then he laughed and repeated me like "뭐?(!?)" LOL omg i felt so embarrassed! it is rude to just say 뭐 in korea, they only use it between friends/ppl u are very familiar with omg my face turned so red T__T gotta remind myself to think carefully before i speak~

this blazer for 24,000won! originally 35,000won. the unnie kept hugging me LOL when she let me try it on like... she called me unnie so i asked her "am i rly your unnie?" and then she told us it is actually the culture here. like they call customers unnie.

sandals for 25,000 (originally 35,000) and sneakers for 20,000 (originally 30,000)

some random accessories ^_^ korea is.. shopping heaven lol. each accessories shop has so much things to look at but they're mostly very cutie.

then we walked back home and.. that's it. lol boring day bc we spent more time at the salon!

going to hongdae tomorrow WOOP!
