Day 1!

한국에 도착했습니다~

reached korea in one piece after an entire day of being in the air. i will never go for budget airlines anymore :( waiting at transit at KL.. long journey from KL to Incheon.. i was so exhausted and i couldn't even sleep properly on the plane!

didn't sleep the entire night after my iphone drama~ came to airport and found quek already there kkkk. Colleen and Aisyah came too and we had macs brekkie together.

No pictures (as usual i look damn cui; if you don't know what's 'cui' uhm, it just means i didn't look good at all lol) because i too cui already. When i took the cab from home the driver actually asked me "you're going back to your hometown?" I think he thinks i'm from China :( but anyway, thank you for coming to send me off even thoughi 'm only gone for 5weeks ; ^ ;

some pictures as i do a bit of talking. but since we effectively spent the entire day flying.. we didn't do much really.

at KL waiting for our connecting flight. it wasn't that bad, we had wifi and this american 'borrowed' my Macbook and charged his iPhone so his daughter could play with it. after losing my phone i'm a little bit sensitive now seeing people use iPhone so... it wasn't too long a wait too ^^;;

this little boy started rolling on the floor lol we didn't even know what to do.

Many koreans were on our flight. I thought it strange that they'd take a budget airline back home but anyway some of them are so pretty T__T

we boarded at T16 :)

picture kindly taken by 2 malaysian ladies we befriended on the flight. they were so nice to us! warning us bout pickpockets from cheena. hopefully we get to meet them at myeongdong or something since they stay near that area. (not the pickpockets i meant those girls lol)

 trying to do some last min revision. totally forgot bout the test we have to take on first day of school! i am so screwed i can't even rmb most of the vocab we learnt

 our new friends from Malaysia truly Asiaaa~

and then we managed to catch the airport limousine bus! initially we thought we wouldn't make it and we were ready to take the AREX to Seoul Station and then transfer to a cab or smthg. but we ran out and realized that at the bus stop, our LAST bus was gonna come at 2240 and there were still 20mins left. THANK GOD! paid 9,000won for the bus ride (slightly more than an hour) with yuting's 1000won coupon. the bus journey was okay :) the stops are announced in Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese so it's kinda foreigner-friendly?

On the bus :)

then we made our way to our guesthouse. It was really easy to find it. Maybe we're just good at navigating hahaha. But anyway, at night it gets kinda chilly. perhaps 18/19deg celsius? I love the temperature honestly i don't ever want daylight to come :( do not want to face the sun. furthermore the RAIN. the weather forecast says there might be a typhoon on Sunday. but i'm not sure if it's gonna affect our area aka Sinchon/Yongsan. We will be checking in to our dormitory at Yonsei on Sunday! and then to Yongsan to get our phones.

anyway i can't wait to move out of here because honestly the room is TOO SMALL.

LOOK! We had to open our luggage outside the room because there is just no room. And i'm sleeping on the upper bunk. It's the first time in my life sleeping on a bunk bed :(

after showering we got dressed and walked out to look for an eatery because we were both starving! found Kimbap-Cheon Guk (김밥천국) which melissa always told me about in school. We actually walked around and didn't really see anything. we didn't wanna walk all the way out to the main road so we settled for some kimbap and deokboggi! the menu was in korean, thank god we can read.

but as we were at 7-11 getting our t money card (card you use to take public transport here) we had a really hard time struggling to communicate with the ahjusshi. but his english is AMAZING. like even though he couldn't understand what we were trying to ask because our korean sucks, he explained things to us in english perfectly. and he was really friendly too, at 1am! :)

 Cheese Kimbap for 2,500won

 i forgot to take a picture of the ddeokbokki but there it is! look at her satisfied face. hehe most koreans walk in and buy a roll or two of kimbap takeaway. I think it's really cool. If they expand their business to Singapore I'D BE THEIR MOST LOYAL CUSTOMER. i love rice, and kimbap is just great for me. i'll eat it all day long.

ddeokbokki for 2,500won too

so we finished supper, walked back to 7-11 to get mineral water and i got my milk! decided to try strawberry since i've never had it.

no wonder taemin loves it so much hehe it's delicious.

Okay it's 3.36am here i have to sleep! waking up at 9am. we should be walking around the area with Sara and her friend Laurie. LOL she is so cute, when i went to her room her friend was sound asleep. I hope i can get to hang out with them tomorrow.

P.S the bed is rly uncomfortable too. My face is like 20cm away from the ceiling ewww
